RUNNING FOR A CAUSE

In February 2025 Dr Louise will be running 50kms in the Tarawera Ultra Trail Race held in New Zealand. She is raising funds for a charity close to her heart, RUN DIPG.

DIPG, or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, is a particularly aggressive form of brain cancer that tragically claimed the life of Josie, the daughter of a close family friend. Witnessing the devastating impact of this disease first hand motivated Louise to take action. She wants to honour Josie's memory and support other families affected by DIPG by raising awareness and research funds.

So she will be running 50kms in her 50th year and aims to raise $50,000.
